Ghost of Tsushima Gets a Surprise Aloy Outfit From Horizon Forbidden West

Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut has a new quest inspired by Horizon: Forbidden West that grants players an outfit inspired by the game's protagonist, Aloy.

Developer Sucker Punch released a patch for the game on February 8 that includes a brand-new quest, where players must solve a puzzle to the north of Iki Island to earn "an Aloy-inspired surprise".

The studio tweeted, "We are so excited for Horizon: Forbidden West from our friends at Guerrilla! While we wait, today we’ve released a new patch for Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut that repairs a Wind Shrine to the north of Iki Island. Solve the puzzle there to earn an Aloy-inspired surprise..."

Protagonist Jin can be seen wearing the new outfit that includes a headband, jacket, and accessories straight out of Aloy's wardrobe.

The kit is only available for players with the Director's Cut expansion of Ghost of Tsushima, as the quest itself is included on the DLC island.

The update also includes a new difficulty for Ghost of Tsushima's survival mode, a block button to avoid certain matchmakers, and fixes for the game's stuttering issues. The patch was released in anticipation of Horizon: Forbidden West which will be released on February 18.

In our review IGN said Ghost of Tsushima is "amazing" and an "enormous and densely packed samurai adventure". The Iki Island DLC featured in the Director's Cut is also "great" though it "doesn't do much beyond just offering more Ghost of Tsushima." Though who can say if that's such a bad thing?
